Senior VMware Cloud Foundation Engineer (VCF)

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria or Bucharest, Romania. Work arrangement: Hybrid. A valid EU working visa is required.

What you will do

• Deploy, configure, operate, and support full-stack VMware Cloud Foundation environments, including Management and Workload Domains.
• Assess vSphere, vSAN, and NSX environments and contribute to migration and private cloud modernization initiatives.
• Automate provisioning and lifecycle management with Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages.
• Deploy and manage Kubernetes platforms, including VMware Kubernetes Service, and integrate container networking, storage, and observability.
• Support hybrid cloud deployments across VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution, and Google Cloud VMware Engine.
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices while collaborating with customers, architects, security specialists, and project teams.

Requirements

• Several years of hands-on Kubernetes experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with VMware Cloud Foundation 5.2; exposure to or training in VCF 9 is required.
• Solid knowledge of VMware vSphere, vSAN, NSX, SDDC Manager, VMware Kubernetes Service, and VMware AVI Load Balancer.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, infrastructure as code, DevOps, CI/CD, GitOps, and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently or within project teams.
• Fluent or professional English, written and verbal, and a valid EU working visa are required.

• Customer-facing experience in professional services, consulting, or enterprise environments.
• VMware Certified Advanced Professional, VMware Certified Professional, CKA, CKAD, CKS, or equivalent certifications.
