Senior Platform Developer (AWS, Cloud Platform)

Location: Bulgaria, Cyprus, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Poland, Romania, or Serbia. Working hours are aligned with UK business hours, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM UK time.

What you will do

• Design and evolve reliable cloud platform capabilities with self-service foundations for engineering teams.
• Modernize and consolidate AWS infrastructure using Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and operational tooling.
• Build reusable tooling, guardrails, and platform capabilities that improve developer experience and adoption.
• Strengthen observability, resilience, security, and incident readiness for business-critical services.
• Partner with application engineers to define needs and make safe, maintainable technical choices.
• Participate in incident response, post-incident reviews, corrective actions, and an on-call rota when required.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on AWS platform engineering experience in production environments.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, Terraform, and Helm.
• Strong CI/CD experience, particularly with GitHub Actions and reusable pipeline design.
• Experience with logging, monitoring, networking, protocols, scripting, secrets management, and service discovery.
• Experience designing secure, reliable, and maintainable platform solutions and supporting business-critical services.
• Autonomous delivery, sound coding experience, and constructive collaboration with application engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience with Honeycomb, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Splunk, and SLO-led practices.
• Pragmatic use of AI-assisted engineering tools to improve quality and productivity.
