What you will do

• Lead an organization of 7+ teams, directly managing Engineering Managers and Staff Engineers.
• Partner with Product Directors and VPs to align technical roadmaps with commercial goals and customer needs.
• Foster a culture of mentorship and coaching to grow leadership capabilities within the engineering function.
• Drive the integration of AI-first engineering practices to evolve the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Balance commercial delivery requirements with the management of technical debt and architectural risks.
• Utilize data and metrics to drive continuous improvement in team health and system reliability.

Requirements

• Exceptional experience managing and growing other managers and senior individual contributors.
• Proven track record of leading multiple teams through rapid scaling or organizational shifts.
• Strong background in modern software architecture to maintain technical credibility with staff engineers.
• Ability to effectively challenge Product leaders to ensure technical sustainability.
• Understanding of how AI will change the SDLC and experience leading through such transitions.
• Must be based in the UK; the company is unable to provide visa sponsorship.
