Journeyman CNC Machinist (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Program, set up, and operate Haas CNC mills (including 4th/5th axis) and Mazak CNC lathes with bar feeders.
• Manage the full production cycle independently, from reading prints to final part prove-outs.
• Develop and proof CAM programs and design fixtures for first-run jobs.
• Mentor and train other machinists to elevate the team's overall technical skill level.
• Serve as the primary technical resource on the shop floor to solve complex machining problems.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area while ensuring equipment is properly maintained.

Requirements

• 5+ years of CNC programming experience for mills and/or lathes.
• Strong proficiency in Mastercam, Mazatrol, and G-code editing.
• Expertise in multi-axis machining, GD&T, and blueprint reading.
• Proven ability to handle all job shop responsibilities independently.
• Experience in leadership and training other team members.
• Location: Must be based in or be able to work onsite in Belleville, NJ
