What you will do
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities through lead generation, outbound calling, and building rapport with potential clients.
- Collaborate with technical teams to prepare detailed proposals and support marketing in developing qualifications.
- Manage existing client accounts to ensure retention and identify value-added cross-selling opportunities.
- Monitor tender inboxes, coordinate portal notifications, and distribute bid addendums to the operations team.
- Research industry trends and procurement practices to ensure bid responses meet evolving client and market requirements.
- Maintain accurate sales data, pipeline reports, and project contracts up for renewal.
Requirements
- Must be based in or have the legal right to work in Sydney, Australia.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, and proposal preparation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with government contract tracking systems and local council submissions.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional customer service and listening skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Previous experience working within a professional services firm.
