Salary: $110,000 - $240,000

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of advanced directive data links to connect nodes in a CDN.
• Implement strategies to reduce RF signatures and incorporate high-accuracy time-transfer algorithms into the network.
• Develop low-cost, robust hardware to achieve data links in tactical environments between mobile nodes.
• Create algorithms for directional beamforming and GPS-independent node positioning.
• Optimize and implement algorithms in software (C++, Python, MATLAB) and hardware (FPGAs, DSPs) for real-time performance.
• Mentor junior engineers, define system requirements, and lead field tests and data collection activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of experience in directional communications systems.
• Proficiency in Python or MATLAB and strong experience with RF systems.
• Expertise in digital signal processing (modulation, filtering, detection), algorithm development, and data analysis.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Must be able to work full-time onsite in El Segundo, CA or San Diego, CA.

Nice to have

• Graduate degree in STEM.
• Strong foundation in the Systems Engineering V-model and experience with C++.
• Deep understanding of radar principles, waveform design, and clutter rejection techniques.
