Data Engineer (AI)

TL;DR

Data Engineer (AI): Designing and implementing sustainable data assets to fuel machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions with an accent on software development lifecycle and continuous data delivery. Focus on building well-architected data pipelines, automating ingestion processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business value.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Columbus, OH, Chicago, IL, Hartford, CT, or Charlotte, NC for a hybrid schedule (Tuesday–Thursday in office). Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable data assets and pipelines for analytical consumption.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle to support continuous data delivery.
• Identify and validate internal and external data sources for quality and lineage.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to evaluate data integrity and resolve issues.
• Develop code to enable real-time modeling solutions for integration into front-end systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT stakeholders and SMEs to translate business problems into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related discipline.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with ETL processes, metadata management, and data validation.
• Experience with Linux, Git, and automation tools like Airflow.
• Ability to communicate complex technical topics to non-technical teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with R.
• Exposure to AWS services such as S3 and EMR.
• Experience with Hadoop/Spark and various data structures (XML, JSON).
