Staff Data Scientist (AI)

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable data science solutions that support or automate business decision-making.
• Build SQL and ETL queries and import processes for S3, Redshift, and Spark storage systems.
• Analyze data quality and trends, investigate anomalies, and construct appropriate transformations.
• Develop, validate, and deploy statistical, machine learning, neural network, NLP, and generative AI models.
• Build prototypes, troubleshoot customer issues, and deliver tailored data science solutions in collaboration with customers and academic partners.
• Establish modeling standards, communicate findings to executives, and mentor junior and mid-level data scientists.

Requirements

• 10+ years of data science experience solving complex business problems.
• Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience or Master's degree with 4 years of experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on generative AI experience and 5+ years of experience with machine learning, algorithms, optimization, data mining, or related areas.
• 5+ years of hands-on Python experience building, training, and evaluating models.
• Experience with SQL or other data querying languages, statistical models, and machine learning methods.
• Customer-facing experience and strong communication skills for explaining complex findings to non-technical executives.

Nice to have

• Healthcare data experience and AWS certifications.
• Experience with Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, Amazon SageMaker, LLM-powered agents, and prompt optimization.
• Experience with Strands, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and cloud application development.
