Senior Data Engineer

What you will do

• Design and develop large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines, ELT processes, data warehouses, and data lakes on-premises and in the cloud
• Scale the data platform to support operational growth from millions of parts per year to millions per day
• Monitor and improve performance and reliability of data connections using observability tools
• Ensure data quality and governance by managing metadata such as schemas, lineage, and access control
• Collaborate with software engineers, data analysts, scientists, engineering disciplines, leadership, and vendors to deliver data solutions
• Participate in on-call rotations to maintain SLA and prevent data issues impacting 24/7 production

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• 8+ years of software and/or data engineering experience with large-scale distributed data systems
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, Postgres, blob storage, Flink, dbt, Iceberg
• Expertise in Python and SQL; experience with Java, Scala, or Go
• Cloud-native experience with Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud; container orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes; infrastructure-as-code with Terraform
• Familiarity with DevOps best practices, version control (Git), CI/CD, monitoring and alerting tools
• Experience with AI/ML including LLMs and MCP servers
