What you will do

• Perform skilled mechanical repair, maintenance, and overhauls on engines and transmissions.
• Conduct electrical and electronic diagnostics and fault finding across various vehicle types.
• Inspect and maintain vehicles to meet Provincial Vehicle Inspection Program requirements.
• Service a diverse fleet including EV, Hybrid, CNG, and heavy-duty construction equipment.
• Fabricate, upfit, and modify vehicles utilizing sheet metal facilities and welding (electrical and acetylene).
• Train and monitor the work of apprentices and instruct operators on proper equipment use.

Requirements

• Journeyperson trade certification as a Truck and Transport Mechanic (preferred) or Heavy-Duty Mechanic.
• Technical certification as an authorized Commercial/Private Vehicle Inspector.
• Valid BC Drivers class 3 license with air brakes endorsement.
• Minimum 5 years of related mechanical experience.
• Ability to bring own tools.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of Workday system is an asset.
