What you will do

• Design, prepare, and configure test fixtures and stations in collaboration with mechanical designers.
• Create and maintain product documentation, including custom part drawings, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials.
• Build, modify, and repair test equipment and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Analyze test results and provide actionable recommendations to management.
• Identify and report defects and performance issues during the testing process.
• Manage fabrication procedures and engineering documentation control.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Preference for students in their 3rd year or beyond.
• Proficient knowledge of 3D design tools, specifically Creo.
• Experience with 3D printers and their maintenance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to mount, repair, and adapt test setups.

Nice to have

• Experience in designing mechanical jigs and fixtures.
• Proficiency with machine shop equipment such as lathes, bandsaws, and drill presses.
• Programming experience with microcontrollers (Arduino), data processing (Python/MATLAB), or C#/.NET.
• Knowledge of pneumatic systems and basic circuit design.
• Familiarity with document and version management systems like Windchill.
