What you will do

• Lead welding, sealing, and joining strategy for Body-In-White assemblies.
• Serve as process owner for resistance spot, MIG, and projection welding, as well as robotic dispense systems.
• Monitor process performance using plant data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot joining issues affecting production, equipment performance, and vehicle quality.
• Support capital and tooling projects, including equipment specifications, installation, and commissioning.
• Train internal trades and provide technical support during emergency breakdowns.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship
• Certified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of welding, sealing, and joining processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with automated and robotic joining systems and process analytics.
• Ability to work onsite on a full-time basis in Oshawa, Ontario.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.

Nice to have

• Automotive manufacturing experience, specifically with Body-In-White joining processes.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and manufacturing operating systems.
• Experience supporting launch and production improvement initiatives.
