Associate Revenue Cycle Analyst - Insurance Verification (Healthcare)

Location: US Remote; compensation references Austin, TX and varies by office location.

Salary: $58,700–$77,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Serve as a subject matter expert for insurance verification, eligibility, patient insurance information, payer requirements, and clean claim submission.
• Analyze eligibility-related rejections, claims, operational performance, and payer documentation to identify trends and root causes.
• Use SQL, Snowflake, Excel, dashboards, reports, and automation tools to investigate questions and measure performance.
• Lead improvement initiatives from issue identification through implementation, testing, validation, and post-implementation monitoring.
• Partner with Billing Operations, Clean Claim, Coding, Prior Authorization, technology, and vendor operations teams.
• Develop workflows and SOPs, monitor KPIs, and present actionable findings to operational teams and leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, analytics, or a related field preferred.
• 2–3+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, medical billing, insurance verification, claims operations, or a related healthcare function.
• Understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes, medical terminology, CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10, modifiers, EOBs, and payer requirements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup functions, data manipulation, and analysis of large datasets.
• Working knowledge of SQL and experience with a data warehouse or analytics platform such as Snowflake, including AI-assisted query development when appropriate.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, communication, organizational, and independent-working skills.
