Business Analyst (Commercial Auto Insurance)

Location: Long Beach, NY; applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States

Salary: $60,000–$70,000 per year, subject to skills, experience, and applicable geographic differentials

hirify.global is a multi-state commercial insurance carrier with a Commercial Auto Division.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain periodic reports covering product rates, profitability, performance, behavior, and company results.
• Revise rates for insurance programs and prepare filing memoranda for insurance department approval.
• Support the design and pricing of new products and rating plans.
• Analyze experience and conduct research to synthesize key messages and actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Assist actuaries and contribute analytical support to complex or expedited requests.
• Collaborate across the organization while maintaining the company’s core values.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or a related field, or commensurate experience.
• Experience or aptitude with Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Authorization to work for any employer in the United States is required.
• One to three years of relevant work experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated achievement on relevant projects is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI, SQL, or Microsoft Access.
• Completion of one or more Casualty Actuarial Society exams.
