Programmer Analyst II (Healthcare)

Location: Hybrid, with three days per week in the office in Salt Lake City, Boise, Fargo, Portland, or Renton. Candidates must live within commuting distance or be willing to relocate.

Salary: $92,650–$125,350 expected hiring range for Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Idaho; $101,853–$137,801 expected hiring range for North Dakota. A 15% bonus target applies to Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Idaho.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain reports, programs, and analytical models for business partners.
• Write clean, documented code and configuration to implement business requirements.
• Develop and execute tests to validate accurate implementation, including coding, testing, and debugging across the development lifecycle.
• Manage a Local Analytic Workspace or Collaborative Workspace supporting health plan operations analytics and reporting.
• Identify issues, communicate risks, and develop solutions across departments.
• Participate in peer reviews and mentor team members and internal business partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, operational technology management, computer science, operations research, or a related field, plus 7+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination.
• At least 2 years of experience with healthcare and healthcare business processes.
• Proficiency in SQL coding tools such as Toad, DBeaver, or Snowflake; ETL tools such as Talend or dbt; and reporting tools such as Tableau or Sigma.
• Familiarity with relational databases and client-server concepts.
• Ability to perform complex analytical work independently, interpret business requirements, and create design specifications and technical documentation.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, consensus-building, and technical-writing skills.

• Experience with AI tools and technologies for professional productivity and decision-making.
• Additional knowledge of healthcare and healthcare business processes.
