What you will do

• Set up and operate specialized RF test equipment including spectrum and network analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
• Diagnose signal interference, component failures, and complex system integration issues in RF circuits.
• Build and manage automated characterization racks and ensure lab equipment calibration.
• Maintain accurate test data, generate detailed reports, and document experiment results.
• Assemble breadboards, test fixtures, and wiring harnesses from engineering drawings and schematics.
• Assist in organizing and supporting field tests of Ziva systems.

Requirements

• 2–5+ years of hands-on lab or repair experience with electronic systems.
• Strong understanding of PCB design and testing, ideally with radio frequency systems.
• Ability to work onsite in San Diego, California.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Telecommunications, or equivalent military training (e.g., PMEL).
• Experience with automation scripting using Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW.
• Certifications such as FCC GROL, ETA International RF Specialist, or vendor-specific certifications (Anritsu, Nokia).
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 calibration standards or FCC regulations.
