Compensation: $200,500 – $314,475 + Equity

is a startup building portable nuclear microreactors designed to provide clean, reliable power for critical infrastructure and remote sites.
What you will do
- Define and own electrical and software integration requirements for power distribution and sensor mapping.
- Build and manage the electrical test infrastructure to validate the commercial microreactor unit.
- Establish communication protocols between hardware, control systems, and software interfaces.
- Develop and drive electrical validation strategies, test procedures, and best practices.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and vendor relationships for electrical hardware.
- Lead design reviews and communicate technical decisions to cross-functional engineering teams.
Requirements
- Must work 100% onsite at El Segundo HQ
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
- Must be able to comply with U.S. export controls
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 10+ years of progressive experience in hardware design, integration, and test
- Proficiency with DAQ systems, scripting environments like LabVIEW or TestStand, and at least one programming language (Python, C++, C#)
Nice to have
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with real-time simulation systems or FPGA-based hardware
- Background in high-reliability or safety-critical industries like aerospace, defense, or nuclear
