Salary: $110,000 - $160,000

What you will do

• Design end-to-end factory layouts optimized for flow, takt, and throughput.
• Architect assembly lines and define cell structures, workstation configurations, and labor allocation models.
• Develop detailed production rate models and multi-scenario capacity plans (surge, dual-source, rate ramp).
• Identify capital equipment needs and develop ROI justifications for automation investments.
• Drive lean manufacturing implementation, including line balancing, waste reduction, and standard work development.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, and EHS for systemic integration and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Systems, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in factory design, line design, or production system optimization.
• Proven experience building production rate models and conducting time studies.
• Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping, and OEE measurement.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory; ability to obtain and maintain DoD clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, or high-rate electromechanical production.
• Proficiency with factory simulation tools (FlexSim, AnyLogic, Arena, etc.).
• Experience with ERP/MES integration and digital factory modeling.
• Background in explosive or energetics production environments.
