What you will do
- Drive RTL-to-GDS design convergence using logic synthesis and place-and-route tools to meet ambitious PPA goals.
- Manage block-level physical design delivery, ensuring backend flow closure and improving silicon yield.
- Collaborate with CAD and PD methodology teams to adopt and optimize tool features for cryogenic control design.
- Execute physical implementation tasks including floor planning, timing closure, IR drop analysis, and sign-off.
- Partner with custom IP teams to optimize memory macros and standard cells.
- Contribute to the development of advanced physical design methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience with logic design and digital circuits.
- Proficiency in Python, PERL/TCL, C, and Linux/Unix shell.
- Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid model in Hillsboro, Oregon, US.
Nice to have
- Experience in low power and high frequency physical design techniques.
- Expertise in industry-standard STA and Power analysis tools.
- Knowledge of deep sub-micron technology and its impact on timing and area.
- Experience with DFT and DFM flows.
- Ability to provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
