TL;DR

Principal Hardware Engineer (Semiconductor): Designing and developing high-current, high-power sourcing and switching hardware for semiconductor automated test equipment (ATE) with an accent on power delivery architecture, transient response, and thermal management. Focus on owning power-delivery modules from concept through production, ensuring system reliability and performance for advanced SoCs and high-power devices.

What you will do

  • Design and develop high-current power delivery modules for semiconductor ATE systems.
  • Advance power delivery architecture, focusing on transient response, load regulation, and protection systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, mechanical, and test engineering.
  • Lead hardware bring-up, debug complex analog/mixed-signal systems, and drive root-cause analysis.
  • Model and mitigate power integrity issues such as droop, overshoot, and ringing.
  • Manage thermal modeling and system-level integration for long-term stability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in power electronics, high-current power delivery, or instrumentation hardware design.
  • Proven expertise in switching power supplies, multiphase regulators, and advanced power-stage topologies.
  • Proficiency in SPICE simulation, PDN modeling, and PCB design tools.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and electronic loads.

Nice to have

  • Experience designing power-delivery modules specifically for semiconductor ATE.
  • Knowledge of dynamic voltage scaling and digital power control.
  • Familiarity with thermal modeling, heatsink design, and airflow optimization.
  • Experience with HALT/HASS and failure-mode analysis.
