What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end first-year GAAS audit, driving historical remediation and ensuring audit-ready opening balances.
• Own the monthly and quarterly close calendar, enforcing timeline discipline across a multi-entity structure.
• Serve as the authoritative voice on U.S. GAAP, drafting technical accounting memos and codifying policies.
• Manage equity and stock-compensation accounting (ASC 718) and coordinate complex investor reporting requirements.
• Drive finance automation using NetSuite and AI tools to compress the close cycle and improve data accuracy.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, setting standards for technical accuracy and operational discipline.

Requirements

• Active U.S. CPA license is required.
• Big 4 or national firm audit foundation followed by industry controllership experience in complex, multi-entity environments.
• Deep technical expertise in U.S. GAAP, including ASC 718, consolidations, revenue recognition, and fair value.
• Proven track record of managing external auditors to firm deadlines and leading IPO-track or pre-IPO reporting.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite workflow configuration and finance tool integration.
• Demonstrated daily application of AI tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor) for technical drafting and workflow automation.

Nice to have

• Experience with PFIC, QEF, or comparable foreign-structure investor reporting.
• Context fluency in digital-asset or blockchain environments.
• Exposure to building toward SOX/ICFR compliance.
