Air Power Defense Portfolio Director (AI)

Location: O'Fallon, Illinois, USA. Hybrid role with frequent work from a Booz Allen facility and possible work at or visits to customer facilities.

Salary: $162,800–$303,000 annualized USD.

What you will do

• Lead and grow the Air Power business portfolio and strengthen Air Force client engagements.
• Represent the organization at industry forums, events, symposiums, publishing engagements, and speaking engagements.
• Track Air Force requirements, provide market intelligence, and improve understanding of Air Force strategy, budgeting, and priorities.
• Lead next-level leaders supporting aerospace, global defense, and national security strategies.
• Review and recommend changes to business and contract portfolios, capabilities, and talent plans.
• Ensure quality across operations, growth strategy, and technical delivery.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience leading Air Force operational missions, research and development, acquisition, and test functions across Air Force or Navy programs.
• 5+ years of executive leadership and oversight experience for aviation systems or services programs and organizations.
• Experience with aviation technology trends including AI, electronic warfare, hypersonics, digital engineering, autonomous and unmanned systems, supply chain, and advanced data analytics.
• Experience managing client and program portfolios and developing people.
• Bachelor’s degree and ability to identify business development opportunities in the Air Force and broader Department of Defense market.
• Top Secret clearance is required, with eligibility for access to classified information.

Nice to have

• Business development experience and established relationships in the Washington Metro Area.
• Experience with Air Force research and development organizations, Headquarters Air Force, major commands, and combatant commands.
• Master’s degree.
