Proposal Manager

Location: Sterling, VA; on-site. Must be able to travel throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area as required, with up to 10% travel outside the WMA.

Salary: $99,000–$206,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications, relevant experience, and expertise.

What you will do

• Lead the preparation and timely submission of compliant, compelling classified and unclassified proposals of varying size and low complexity.
• Guide pursuit teams through proposal planning, development, refinement, solutioning, and strategy while applying proposal development best practices.
• Create and track compliance matrices, proposal schedules, timelines, task assignments, and volume-level deliverables.
• Collaborate with operational and functional teams, consultants, and subject matter experts to develop customer-facing offerings and understand project objectives.
• Draft, edit, proofread, research, and gather content; support volume writers and maintain proposal templates and guidelines.
• Coordinate proposal operations, provide proposal development training, and track and report submission outcomes.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience supporting proposal and business activities.
• Experience leading low-complexity efforts as a Proposal Manager.
• Ability to support volume writers with content creation.
• Experience with collaboration software such as SharePoint.
• Management and leadership skills, including experience in a leadership role, preferably supporting a government contract.
• Knowledge of industry-specific requirements and standards, as well as Shipley methodologies and practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience working with and leading cross-functional teams.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Ability to travel throughout the WMA as required; up to 10% travel outside the WMA may be required.

• APMP Certification.
• Experience using Salesforce.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
