Plant Process Engineer (Plastic Injection Molding)

Compensation Range: $85,000 - $100,000

What you will do

• Monitor and optimize plastic injection molding processes using polypropylene and nylon resins.
• Develop predictive methods to eliminate downtime and drive future cycle time improvements.
• Supervise Process Technicians and plan their activities across shifts to improve OEE, FTT, and 5S.
• Troubleshoot quality issues including dimensional errors, flash, short shots, and burn areas.
• Conduct sampling for new tooling and determine appropriate process parameters and controls.
• Develop technical training plans for technicians and maintain a preventative maintenance system.

Requirements

• Technological, Business or other diploma from a Community College.
• 3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Technical experience in molding, assembly, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Supervisory experience in a unionized environment.
