TL;DR
Staff Backend Engineer (Golang): Building and optimizing core infrastructure for the Privileged Access Management (PAM) platform with an accent on distributed systems, scalability, and security. Location: Must be based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid role).
Salary: $160,000 – $220,000 CAD

What you will do
- Evolve the core architecture of the PAM platform.
- Design and implement scalable architecture patterns and composable components.
- Build and maintain APIs using OpenAPI Specification for production infrastructure access.
- Develop backend systems primarily using Go.
- Participate in rotational on-call activities to ensure platform reliability.
- Collaborate with SRE and product teams to optimize system performance.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- Strong background in Golang or equivalent backend languages.
- Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL.
- Proficiency in designing database models and backend APIs.
- Experience with cloud services (caching, queues, NoSQL) and cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment with end-to-end ownership.
