Company

hirify.global develops automated driving technologies for Ford vehicles at scale.

What you will do

  • Lead systems engineering ownership for multiple autonomy behavior components across the autonomy software stack.
  • Write performance requirements for ADAS/autonomy features across nominal operations, vehicle/environment variations, and operational domain bounding conditions.
  • Perform system-level performance analysis and build evaluation pipelines, including designing metrics, setting targets, and driving novel research.
  • Develop innovative driving behavior and/or system performance metrics and dashboards to support decisions and product readiness.
  • Analyze test results to identify performance/functional gaps and work with stakeholders to define mitigations.
  • Partner with Integration and Test to develop and execute the Design Verification Plan and periodically provide hands-on product feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field, plus 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s with 2+ years, or PhD).
  • Experience in motion planning, motion control, or robotics.
  • Experience with analysis, metrics development, and verification/validation of complex robotics systems, preferably in autonomous applications.
  • Experience programming in Python, C++, or similar languages.
  • Experience performing analyses and requirement formulation to inform decision-making, using scientific methods for trade studies, testing, and problem solving (formal verification is a plus).
  • Ability to work independently and willingness to travel to remote offices and test facilities as needed; must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis (visa sponsorship available).

Nice to have

  • Motion planning or robotics background.
  • Experience with Jira and/or Jama requirements management.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment.

Culture & Benefits

  • Monthly wellness stipend and professional development reimbursement.
  • Employer-paid group term life insurance plus optional voluntary life insurance; pre-tax spending accounts and commuter benefits.
  • Support programs including adoption/surrogacy support and backup child/elder care, plus employee assistance and team bonding initiatives.

Hiring process

  • Interviews to assess systems engineering ownership, autonomy/robotics experience, and metrics/verification approach.
  • Evaluation of technical fit through discussions of requirements, analysis, and test/verification work.
  • Final steps include work authorization verification at the time of hire.
