What you will do
- Lead systems engineering ownership for multiple autonomy behavior components across the autonomy software stack.
- Write performance requirements for ADAS/autonomy features across nominal operations, vehicle/environment variations, and operational domain bounding conditions.
- Perform system-level performance analysis and build evaluation pipelines, including designing metrics, setting targets, and driving novel research.
- Develop innovative driving behavior and/or system performance metrics and dashboards to support decisions and product readiness.
- Analyze test results to identify performance/functional gaps and work with stakeholders to define mitigations.
- Partner with Integration and Test to develop and execute the Design Verification Plan and periodically provide hands-on product feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field, plus 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s with 2+ years, or PhD).
- Experience in motion planning, motion control, or robotics.
- Experience with analysis, metrics development, and verification/validation of complex robotics systems, preferably in autonomous applications.
- Experience programming in Python, C++, or similar languages.
- Experience performing analyses and requirement formulation to inform decision-making, using scientific methods for trade studies, testing, and problem solving (formal verification is a plus).
- Ability to work independently and willingness to travel to remote offices and test facilities as needed; must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis (visa sponsorship available).
