TL;DR

Senior Software Developer (Automated Driving Performance HIL Infrastructure): Developing and managing simulation toolchains for ADAS control features with an accent on hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) integration and real-time plant modeling. Focus on building scalable architectures for testing safety-critical systems like automatic emergency braking and SuperCruise.

Location: Must be based in Markham, Ontario (Hybrid: 3 days per week in office).

Salary: $115,000–$164,600

What you will do

  • Integrate models, software, and hardware into the simulation infrastructure.
  • Manage dSPACE HiL simulators to support control code development and validation.
  • Partner with ADAS teams to decrease reliance on physical test properties.
  • Advance core co-simulation infrastructure and scout new technologies for system improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, timely delivery of simulation capabilities.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in ADAS, Active Safety, or AV HiL simulation.
  • Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Extensive experience with dSPACE software suite (ASM, Aurelion, SensorSim, etc.) and hardware (Scalexio, DS1006).
  • Proficiency in C, C++, Embedded C, Python, MATLAB, and Simulink.
  • Experience with Vector tools (CANape, CANalyzer, CANoe) and automotive instrumentation.
  • Must be able to work on-site in Markham, Ontario, at least 3 days per week.
