What you will do

• Lead the maintenance and continuous improvement of broadcast and production systems to ensure uninterrupted 24/7 on-air services.
• Provide expert technical leadership and resolution during major incidents, critical broadcasts, and operational escalations.
• Direct engineering projects from technical design through implementation, testing, and operational handover.
• Design and commission new broadcast workflows, infrastructure upgrades, and cloud migration initiatives.
• Mentor and coach Junior Broadcast Engineers, promoting technical growth and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to define technical requirements and operational support models.

Requirements

• Significant experience supporting complex broadcast, media, or critical IT systems in a live operational environment.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, networking, and infrastructure platforms.
• Strong understanding of IP networking and its application in modern broadcast environments.
• Proven experience leading infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, or technology implementations.
• Ability to work within a 24/7 operational environment, including participation in senior on-call arrangements.
• Location: Must be based in London

Nice to have

• Experience with broadcast automation, playout, MAM, newsroom, and transmission systems.
• Knowledge of cloud-based and software-defined broadcast technologies.
• Experience with cybersecurity principles within media and broadcast environments.
