Data Management Analyst II (Azure/PowerBI)

Salary: $72,062 - $75,000

What you will do

• Collaborate with data architects and engineers to design, test, and support curated data solutions.
• Develop and orchestrate data pipelines using SQL within Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Create PowerBI reports, semantic models, and visualizations to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Promote data literacy by designing reporting templates and providing instructor-led training.
• Ensure data products comply with organizational security, access control, and data governance standards.
• Mentor junior analysts, student assistants, and contractors on data solutions processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, business analysis, or related field with 5+ years of experience (or Master's with 3+ years).
• Current work authorization in the United States is required (no visa sponsorship).
• Strong proficiency in SQL scripting and general data management.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse and Microsoft Fabric.
• Knowledge of data governance and metadata discovery, ideally using Microsoft Purview.

Nice to have

• Experience with Agile methodology and JIRA.
• Knowledge of DevOps and LogicApps.
• Previous experience working within the Higher Education industry.
