Risk Specialist - Policy Management (Fintech)

TL;DR

Risk Specialist - Policy Management (Fintech): Designing and maintaining the company’s policy governance framework with an accent on lifecycle management, compliance, and governance standards. Focus on improving policy workflows, managing centralized inventories, and preparing executive-ready governance materials.

Location: Hybrid (Minimum 3 days a week from Alpharetta, GA or Cincinnati, OH offices). Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

What you will do

• Design, maintain, and improve the company’s policy governance framework, including standards and procedures.
• Guide Policy Owners on lifecycle management, compliance, exceptions, and governance requirements.
• Ensure policies meet quality, formatting, and governance standards while managing approvals.
• Maintain an accurate, centralized policy inventory and track key compliance and review metrics.
• Support governance operations by preparing committee materials and creating training guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management, finance, compliance, law, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in policy governance, risk, compliance, or internal controls.
• Hands-on experience with policy lifecycle management and exception handling processes.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across various teams.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future immigration sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience working in large, complex, or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with Enterprise risk frameworks and creating executive-ready materials for senior leaders.
• Experience developing training, guidance, and communications to support governance adoption.
