What you will do

• Lead and mentor a distributed team of engineers, focusing on technical excellence and productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in Finance, Accounting, and Compliance to align technical strategies with business goals.
• Define the 12-24 month roadmap for the Billing domain and translate it into actionable team priorities.
• Contribute directly to system performance (5-10% of time) through code reviews and architectural guidance.
• Model and drive the use of AI-powered developer tools, such as agentic coding and LLM-assisted debugging, in the SDLC.
• Navigate and design systems within highly regulated industries, embedding security and compliance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience, ideally within the Billing domain.
• 5+ years of engineering management experience delivering business-impactful solutions.
• Must be based in the USA.
• Proven ability to set technical strategy, build roadmaps, and negotiate with stakeholders.
• Active practitioner of AI-powered development tools.
• Strong experience influencing non-engineering stakeholders in a regulated environment.
