What you will do
- Define baseline defectivity and establish Paretos using advanced metrology and physical analysis (SEM, TEM, AFM, FIB).
- Identify source failures in tools or processes and initiate corrective actions using PDCA and 8D methodologies.
- Own the FBAR visual control plan, defining line partitioning and sampling strategies via Klarity and SPC.
- Author and maintain Out-of-Control Action Plans (OCAPs) to standardize responses to defect shifts.
- Lead cross-functional engineering task forces to investigate complex trend shifts and validate root causes.
- Train operations staff on material disposition and mentor technicians in advanced defect characterization.
Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related engineering field.
- 8+ years of experience in high-volume wafer fabrication, specifically in process, defect, or yield engineering.
- Expertise with Klarity defect analysis software and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Advanced proficiency in JMP for statistical data analysis and problem-solving.
- Strict adherence to cleanroom protocols, contamination controls, and fab safety standards.
- Proven ability to facilitate cross-functional teams to resolve complex manufacturing issues.
Nice to have
- MS or PhD in a relevant engineering or science field.
- 12+ years of experience in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing.
- Proficiency in Python (Pandas/NumPy) or SQL for querying databases and automating reporting.
- Experience developing automated Spotfire data links and interactive dashboards.
- Practical experience with Automatic Defect Classification (ADC) or AI models for wafer map pattern recognition.
