What you will do

• Design, schematic capture, and prototype microcontroller and microprocessor-based products.
• Develop complex embedded systems involving mixed-signal design and high-speed interfaces across hardware and firmware domains.
• Develop and support firmware and FPGA designs.
• Lead board bring-up, debugging, and root cause analysis of hardware issues.
• Manage the transition of designs into production and ensure compliance with UL, FCC, and CE regulatory standards.
• Mentor junior engineers, technicians, and interns on design practices and debugging techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in embedded hardware design, schematic capture, layout, and board bring-up.
• Strong proficiency in analog and digital circuit design, including DC/DC power supplies and digital interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, USB).
• Experience developing in C/C++ and/or VHDL or Verilog.
• Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization.

Nice to have

• 7+ years of experience in embedded hardware design and delivery.
• Experience with EE design tools (e.g., Mentor Graphics) or FPGA tools (Xilinx, Microsemi, Intel/Altera).
• Knowledge of smart card, RFID, NFC, printing, or motion control systems.
• Familiarity with project management concepts (timelines, costs, requirements).
• Openness to adopting AI-assisted tools to improve design and documentation workflows.
