Engineer II - Applications (USB/PCIe)

Location: Chandler, Arizona, United States; other listed locations include Hauppauge, New York and Austin, Texas. The role is performed in the US and requires 100% inside work. Travel is 0%–25%.

Annual base salary: $70,304–$143,000, plus restricted stock units and quarterly bonus payments.

What you will do

• Develop application notes, data sheets, technical manuals, and other collateral for new product development.
• Develop and support evaluation platform PCBs for customer use.
• Create and deliver technical training through webinars and hands-on workshops.
• Provide technical support to sales, field application engineers, and strategic customers.
• Collaborate with Design, Product/Test, Marketing, and Sales teams to identify applications and define new products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent discipline, with 2.5–5 years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of electrical system design and mixed-signal circuit fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of embedded software and firmware design.
• Strong written communication and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an indoor engineering environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with USB, PCIe, Ethernet, or other communication protocols.
• Experience presenting technical information and supporting customers directly.
• Knowledge of embedded assembly, C programming, microcontroller-based designs, and Linux distributions.
• Experience using function generators, power supplies, oscilloscopes, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
