TL;DR

Salary: $88,800 - $133,200

What you will do

• Execute mechanical and optomechanical design activities for patient monitoring sensors.
• Develop prototypes and engineering builds using CAD tools like SolidWorks.
• Conduct bench‑top experiments, material testing, and verification/validation activities.
• Analyze experimental data using tools such as MATLAB, Python, Minitab, or Excel.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support design transfer into manufacturing and resolve performance issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering experience (or a Master’s degree).
• Prior experience in medical devices, sensor development, or hands‑on lab engineering.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required (Sponsorship is not available for this level).

Nice to have

• Proficiency in SolidWorks and analysis tools like MATLAB, Python, Minitab, or Ansys.
• Experience with thin films, adhesives, and material mechanics.
• Knowledge of optics, optoelectronics, or tissue‑based sensing.
• Familiarity with design controls and medical device standards (ISO 13485, ISO 80601).
