Salary: $142,800 – $193,200 annually

The hirify.global Center for Quantum Computing (CQC) is a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to developing a fault-tolerant quantum computer.

What you will do

• Collaborate with theory and processor design teams to develop experimental test plans for new processor designs.
• Characterize QEC code building blocks and establish error budgets to explain and bound performance.
• Design experiments to isolate crosstalk and spectator interactions from intrinsic component performance.
• Prototype calibration and measurement approaches for automated, large-scale processor bring-up.
• Investigate discrepancies between measured and expected behavior to inform design and theory.

Requirements

• PhD in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics.
• 3+ years experience characterizing quantum systems through measurement.
• Proficiency in programming with Python, C++, Java, or similar languages.
• Proven track record of original scientific contributions via patents or peer-reviewed publications.
• Experience in designing experiments and performing statistical analysis of results.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or be able to obtain a US export license.

Nice to have

• Expertise in superconducting qubits, cavity/circuit QED, and microwave control of superconducting circuits.
• Knowledge of two-qubit gate dynamics, readout modeling, and low-level pulse optimization.
• Experience with multiplexed readout of quantum systems.
• Experience with automated quantum processor bring-up for QEC applications.
