What you will do

• Design and construct scientific hardware and control interfaces (both hardware and software) for the quantum computing platform.
• Generate intellectual property related to the design and operation of neutral-atom-based quantum computers.
• Distill and communicate research findings through internal reports and external publications/presentations.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of experimental physicists, hardware, and software engineers.

Requirements

• PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of state-of-the-art techniques in atomic physics and quantum computing research.
• Deep understanding of the fundamental interactions between light and matter.
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Python.
• Experience with Git software version control.
