What you will do
- Develop and optimize fault-tolerance schemes for gate-based atomic array quantum computers.
- Evaluate optimization strategies for atom movement during fault-tolerant computation.
- Collaborate with software and control systems teams to implement classical compute layers.
- Develop and implement decoders.
- Create and maintain tools for quantum simulation.
- Implement error correction directly on quantum hardware.
Requirements
- PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with quantum error correction theory or experiment.
- Must be based in or able to work in Berkeley, CA or Boulder, CO (Hybrid).
- Familiarity with Python and Git software version control.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with experimental physicists and engineers.
