Java Developer (AWS)

TL;DR

Java Developer (AWS): Creating and deploying cloud-native and containerized Java applications with an accent on microservices architecture and RESTful APIs. Focus on optimizing application performance, implementing DevSecOps practices, and ensuring scalability across cloud-agnostic environments.

Location: Hybrid, Rosslyn, VA (Onsite twice a week). Must have Secret Clearance to start.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native and containerized Java applications.
• Implement microservices architecture and develop RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate CI/CD deployment workflows.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability across cloud platforms.
• Apply security best practices and resolve performance and reliability issues.
• Participate in code reviews to improve maintainability and code quality.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in Java development.
• Active Secret Clearance (Must have to start).
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Rosslyn, VA twice a week.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise-scale applications on AWS.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Background in DevSecOps environments.
• Strong skills in performance tuning and optimization.
• Previous consulting experience.
