What you will do

• Design and implement data workflows and pipelines for ETL/ELT across AWS cloud and on-prem environments.
• Architect and operate data streaming technologies such as Kafka, Redpanda, and Kinesis on Kubernetes.
• Apply systems engineering principles to ensure reliability, scalability, and implement backup and recovery strategies.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and scaling using Terraform.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity SMEs to incorporate best practices and defend the data layer against threats.
• Ensure system compliance with industry and DoD regulations and standards.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is strictly required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience building production data pipelines and data exchange services on Kubernetes.
• Proven experience designing and operating Kafka or Redpanda streaming solutions.
• Proficiency with Docker and container orchestration systems (Kubernetes).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level DoD security clearance.
• Willingness to travel 6-10 times per year.

• Experience with machine learning and generative AI models.
