TL;DR
Principal Data Architect (AWS): Designing and evolving scalable AWS-based data architectures across operational, analytical, lakehouse, and semantic layers with an accent on multi-tenant SaaS data models and healthcare data compliance. Focus on bridging OLTP and OLAP systems, implementing secure cross-account governance, and integrating AI tools into data workflows.
Location: Must be based in Mexico (Remote or Hybrid options available)

What you will do
- Design and evolve scalable AWS data architectures using Aurora, DynamoDB, Glue, S3, Apache Iceberg, and Redshift.
- Architect multi-tenant SaaS data models using Silo, Pool, or Hybrid isolation strategies.
- Build data platforms for complex healthcare data structures with a focus on privacy, security, and governance.
- Implement enterprise-grade DataOps practices, including automated quality checks and infrastructure-as-code via AWS CDK or Terraform.
- Design secure cross-account and multi-region AWS governance patterns using Control Tower and Lake Formation.
- Lead technical design discussions and mentor engineers to elevate system-level thinking across the team.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in designing modern AWS-based data architectures (lakehouse, pipeline, and semantic layers).
- Expert experience with multi-tenant SaaS database isolation models.
- Proven ability to bridge OLTP and OLAP design patterns.
- Experience with healthcare data structures and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, and IaC tools (Terraform/CDK).
- Must be based in Mexico.
