Project Engineer (3D Printing)

What you will do

• Provide consultative design for additive manufacturing services with a focus on long-term scalability.
• Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams to define project scope, timelines, and technical requirements.
• Analyze manufacturing feasibility, perform costing, and manage project documentation.
• Develop custom tools and workflows to support high-complexity production projects.
• Collaborate with quality, logistics, and engineering departments to ensure delivery commitments are met.
• Advocate for customer requirements while balancing internal manufacturing capabilities and business constraints.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or project management, or equivalent experience (5+ years in 3DP or related fields).
• 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional projects with a focus on customer outcomes.
• Thorough knowledge of 3DP technologies, materials, and DfAM.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD data handling and professional additive manufacturing software (e.g., Materialise Magics, Netfabb).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T and technical specifications.
• Must meet ITAR compliance requirements (U.S. Citizen, Green Card holder, or protected status).

Nice to have

• Experience in ISO13485 or AS9100 compliant environments.
• Background in aerospace or medical manufacturing.
• Familiarity with casting, machining, or injection molding.
• Basic coding skills (Python, VBA).
