TL;DR
Software Asset & License Manager (IT/SAM): Building and scaling the Software Asset Management capability from the ground up with an accent on license optimization, compliance, and vendor strategy. Focus on evaluating and implementing a global SAM platform to manage a complex hybrid estate across 22 countries.
Location: Fully remote, must be based in Europe.

What you will do
- Evaluate and select a global license management solution for a hybrid software estate.
- Implement the chosen platform and integrate it with existing ITSM, finance, and procurement systems.
- Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities through license right-sizing and consolidation.
- Manage compliance posture and lead audit defense for major software vendors.
- Define and enforce SaaS approval policies to control shadow IT.
- Partner with Finance and Procurement to manage vendor strategy and cost allocation.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in software asset management, license management, or IT procurement.
- Hands-on experience with SAM platforms like Flexera, Snow, or ServiceNow SAM Pro.
- Deep understanding of on-prem, SaaS, and hybrid licensing models.
- Proven track record of managing compliance and audits with major vendors.
- Fluent English proficiency.
- Must have the right to work in your current European location (no sponsorship or relocation provided).
Nice to have
- Greenfield SAM implementation experience.
- Familiarity with Jira Service Management and DEX tooling like Lakeside SysTrack.
- IAITAM or ITIL certification.
- Experience in multi-country, post-merger integration environments.
