Location: Hybrid (Cambridge, UK) — minimum two days per week in office. Must have permanent right to work in the UK.

What you will do
- Own the monthly revenue recognition process, consolidating data from multiple source systems to ensure accurate deferrals.
- Prepare monthly revenue and deferred revenue journals within month-end close timelines.
- Reconcile billing systems and PSP platforms such as PayPal and Adyen to resolve discrepancies.
- Analyze large, complex revenue datasets and run SQL-based data extracts for variance investigations.
- Develop and enhance advanced Excel models using Power Query and Power Pivot for better scalability.
- Support the transition to the Chargebee billing platform and identify opportunities for process automation.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant status (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Experience in revenue accounting, including revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Proven ability to perform detailed reconciliations from source-system data to general ledger postings.
- Advanced Excel skills, specifically with complex formulas, Power Query, and Power Pivot.
- Experience with payment processing platforms (e.g., PayPal, Adyen).
- Basic SQL skills for extracting and validating data directly from source systems.
- Permanent right to work in the UK; no visa sponsorship is provided.
