TL;DR

Financial Accountant (Software): Managing technical accounting, compliance, and financial reporting to ensure audit-readiness as the business scales with an accent on statutory rigour and group consolidations. Focus on preparing monthly group consolidations, multi-entity reporting, and strengthening internal controls under FRS 102.

Location: Hybrid; must be able to travel to the Cambridge office once a week

What you will do

  • Support month-end close and lead on revenue-related queries.
  • Prepare monthly group consolidations, multi-entity reporting, and cash flows under FRS 102.
  • Act as a technical accounting partner to the Financial Controller to lead on compliance.
  • Manage key monthly reconciliations and maintain detailed controls documentation.
  • Bridge the gap between Finance Operations and FP&A teams.
  • Implement process improvements to optimize the finance function's operations.

Requirements

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of FRS 102, IFRS, and the Companies Act 2006.
  • Proven experience producing monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including SUMIFS, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and nested formulae.
  • Ability to communicate complex finance issues clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
