What you will do

• Lead interior design themes from early sketches to final digital models and design freeze for assigned programs.
• Translate brand strategy and China-specific customer insights into differentiated interior concepts.
• Create high-quality sketches, storyboards, and VR/3D presentations to communicate spatial concepts and UX flows.
• Collaborate with UX/HMI and CMF teams to integrate displays, lighting, and materials into holistic experiences.
• Partner with Studio Engineering to ensure concepts are technically feasible and aligned with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Provide creative leadership and mentoring to junior and senior interior designers within the team.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to report full-time to the Advanced Technical Center in Shanghai, China.
• BA or MA degree in Transportation, Automotive, or Industrial design, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in automotive design, preferably with international OEM studios.
• Advanced ability to create cohesive design proposals and full 3D visions (digital and clay models).
• Superb professional sketching and rendering skills for 2D visual communication.
• Strong understanding of user needs and the ability to improve the user experience via design.
