What you will do

• Lead battery energy storage projects from early works and NTP through to commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate internal teams, contractors, and external delivery partners across the full project lifecycle.
• Manage project plans, P&L, financial performance targets, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee HSEQ performance, ensuring strict compliance and proactive risk management across all project phases.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with design, construction, and equipment partners.
• Collaborate with customers and senior leadership to ensure project expectations are consistently met or exceeded.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in the energy sector (engineering, infrastructure, or battery storage).
• 10+ years of project management experience with full P&L accountability.
• Degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale EPC projects within the energy sector.
• Experience managing subcontractors, contracts, and subcontract administration.
• Must be based in or able to work in Melbourne, Australia.

Nice to have

• Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
• Experience in battery energy storage (BESS) or related renewables.
• Experience delivering HV substation and electrification projects.
• Knowledge of grid connection processes and Generator Performance Standards.
