What you will do

• Review and take ownership of existing Java-based applications.
• Upgrade legacy frameworks, runtimes, and dependencies to current supported versions.
• Plan and execute safe system changes, including testing, integration, and controlled releases.
• Collaborate with data teams to ensure changes do not disrupt downstream systems.
• Identify and remove known vulnerabilities and operational risks from the platform.
• Participate in production support, incident investigation, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Strong production experience with Kotlin, Java, C#, or similar languages.
• Proven experience upgrading or modernising legacy systems in real-world production environments.
• Must be based in the London Area for hybrid work.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerised environments and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with data-intensive systems.
