What you will do
- Design and maintain high-performance backend systems, APIs, and databases for web and mobile applications.
- Architect scalable and secure server-side solutions that meet fintech industry standards and handle high transaction volumes.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless feature delivery.
- Implement code quality best practices, including automated testing frameworks and rigorous code reviews.
- Integrate emerging technologies in blockchain and fintech to recommend innovative product improvements.
- Leverage generative AI and automation platforms to improve team productivity and output quality.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in backend development, including at least 2 years in a senior role.
- Specific domain experience in mortgage or real-estate lending is required.
- Hands-on proficiency with Node, Express, TypeScript, and Nest.js for building REST APIs.
- Strong experience with SQL, microservices, and event-based architecture.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience using caching and messaging queues, specifically Kafka.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in a startup environment, taking a product from zero to one.
- Experience working within financial markets or brokerages.
- Exposure to NoSQL databases.
