What you will do

• Define and implement a measurement framework to translate raw factory data into operational efficiency and financial insights.
• Maintain and tune discrete-event simulations to forecast demand and simulate factory scaling scenarios.
• Prototype parameterized data models and internal tools, including dashboards and state machines, to drive floor-level and executive behavior.
• Collaborate with factory data teams to connect sensors, equipment, MES, and ERP systems.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses on process efficiency to inform scheduling, staffing, and investment decisions.
• Document systems, pipelines, and assumptions to ensure scalability of operational tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, Operations Research, or a related field.
• Lawful access to information and technology subject to US export controls.
• Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, APIs) and SQL for relational data modeling.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI and UI/workflow tools (Figma, Visio).
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing terminology (cycle time, yield, throughput).

Nice to have

• Experience in a startup or high-growth, fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with MES/ERP/SCADA systems or simulation frameworks like SimPy and AnyLogic.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD.
• Knowledge of operations research and optimization methods (OR Tools, Optuna).
